Abstract:
Disclosed is a light-concentrating heating device comprised of a point-like light source of white light containing heat rays; a light receiving surface provided so as to cover the light source; a bundle of fibers composed of a material having a small light absorptive capacity, which is perpendicularly secured to the light receiving surface; a radiation surface to which the other end of the bundle of fibers is perpendicularly secured; and a space in which the light emitted from the radiation surface is concentrated, or a light-concentrating heating method. The light-concentrating heating device may further comprise a mechanism for concentrating parallel beams of white light using a reflection mirror or lens, or a wavelength conversion element for converting a visible ray component or a ultraviolet ray component to an infrared ray component.
Thus, the light-concentrating heating device having a high energy efficiency to obtain a high temperature can be realized, and the light can be easily and freely concentrated at a target portion, the temperature of which is to be increased, by merely designing the location of an optical fiber. Further, the light from the light source can be efficiently used for heating because visible rays or ultraviolet rays can be converted to infrared rays by the wavelength conversion element.
