Abstract:
[Problem] To improve reliability of a light control cell, in which the transmittance is able to be changed by means of application of a voltage to electrodes, while effectively avoiding a short circuit of the electrodes.
[Solution] A light control cell 20 according to the present invention comprises: a first substrate 30 that contains a first resin base material 32; a second substrate 40 that contains a second resin base material 42; a liquid crystal layer 55 that is arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate; and a sealing material 51 that is positioned between the first substrate 30 and the second substrate 40 and circumferentially surrounds the liquid crystal layer 55. At least one of the first substrate and the second substrate comprises the electrodes. At least a part of the peripheral edge of at least one of the substrates is positioned on the sealing material.
