Abstract:
A light control device (1) installed between the outdoors and indoors comprises a first electrode (10) and a second electrode (20) that are optically transparent, a refractive index adjusting layer (30) that is positioned between the first electrode (10) and the second electrode (20) and that can adjust the refractive index, and an optically transparent jagged layer (40) that is positioned between the first electrode (10) and the refractive index adjusting layer (30) and comprises a plurality of repeating convex portions (41), wherein: the light control device (1) is disposed so that the first electrode (10) is on the outdoor side; each of the plurality of convex portions (41) has an inclined face (41S) that is inclined with respect to the thickness direction of the light control device (1) at a prescribed angle of inclination α; and the angle of inclination α differs, in the direction that the plurality of convex portions (41) repeats, between one convex portion (41) and another convex portion (41) in the plurality of convex portions (41).
