Abstract:
Disclosed is a light control glass pane device for a vehicle such that a light control glass pane is smoothly raised and lowered. This light control glass pane device (10) for the vehicle is equipped with a light control glass pane (12) that has a light control layer wherein light transmissivity changes according to alternating current voltage applied, and that is provided in a vehicle body in such a way as to be capable of being raised and lowered; and an inverter (14) that has a power supply circuit whereby direct current voltage outputted by a battery installed in the vehicle is converted into alternating current power and then is applied to the light control layer, and that is provided in the lower portion of the light control glass pane (12). In the case of this configuration, the inverter (14), which is a heavy article, is provided in the lower portion of the light control glass pane (12), and therefore, it is possible to lower the center of gravity of the light control glass pane (12). Consequently, the light control glass pane (12) can be smoothly raised and lowered.
