Abstract:
This light control sheet comprises a first alignment film, a second alignment film, and a light control layer that is disposed between the first alignment film and the second alignment film and is in contact with the first alignment film and the second alignment film. The light control layer comprises a transparent polymer layer and a liquid crystal composition containing liquid crystal molecules. The transparent polymer layer has a plurality of first domains that are voids that are in contact with the first alignment film. Liquid crystal molecules are located within the first domains. Considered in the cross section perpendicular to the plane in which the light control layer extends, the boundary between an individual first domain and the first alignment film is the first boundary section, and the wall section that defines each first domain in the transparent polymer layer is the second boundary section. The value provided by dividing the length of the second boundary section by the length of the first boundary section is 2 to 20. The first domain diameter in the cross section is 0.5 µm to 5 µm.
