Abstract:
This light control sheet comprises: a light control layer that includes a transparent polymer layer and a liquid crystal composition, the transparent polymer layer including a plurality of domains, the liquid crystal composition filling the domains and including a liquid crystal compound and a dichroic dye; and a plurality of transparent electrode layers sandwiching the light control layer. In the light control sheet, the orientations of the liquid crystal compound and the dichroic dye are changed in accordance with a change in the potential difference between the pair of transparent electrode layers. As a result, the light control sheet switches from a colored non-transparent state to a transparent state. The average diameter of the domains is less than or equal to 0.7 μm.
