Abstract:
Provided are a coating composition for a clear coating film and a method for forming a clear coating film, with which duplicate coating and forgetting to perform coating can be prevented. This light-decolorizable coating composition for a clear coating film includes a binder component and a light-decolorizable pigment, wherein the light-decolorizable pigment includes at least one selected from the group consisting of monascus pigments, betalain pigments, and spirulina pigments. This method for forming a clear coating film includes: a step in which one surface side of an item to be coated is coated with the light-decolorizable coating composition for a clear coating film, and a colored coating film is formed; and a step in which the colored coating film is irradiated with light within the wavelength range of 10-800 nm, and the clear coating film is formed.
