Abstract:
A light detection device 1 detects a light incident position. The light detection device 1 is provided with a plurality of pixels, a plurality of first wires, a plurality of second wires, a first readout unit 21, and a second readout unit 31. The plurality of pixels are two-dimensionally arranged in a matrix, and each include a first light-sensitive portion and a second light-sensitive portion. The plurality of first wires connect the plurality of first light-sensitive portions row by row. The plurality of second wires connect the plurality of second light-sensitive portions column by column. The first readout unit 21 reads out signal data via at least some of the plurality of first wires. The second readout unit 31 reads out signal data via at least some of the plurality of second wires. The first readout unit 21 has a readout pixel setting unit 26 which, on the basis of the signal data read out in a first frame, sets, from among the plurality of pixels, a pixel group for reading out signal data in a second frame subsequent to the first frame.
