Abstract:
A light detection device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is provided with: a semiconductor layer which comprises a source region and a drain region; a gate insulating layer which is arranged on a region of the semiconductor layer, said region being sandwiched between the source region and the drain region, and which comprises a photoelectric conversion layer; a gate electrode which is arranged on the gate insulating layer; a signal detection circuit that comprises a first signal detection transistor to which the input of one of the source region and the drain region is electrically connected; a first transfer transistor which is connected between the input of the first signal detection transistor and one of the source region and the drain region; and a first capacitor which has an end electrically connected to the input of the first signal detection transistor. The signal detection circuit detects an electrical signal that corresponds to a change of the dielectric constant of the photoelectric conversion layer, said change being caused by light that is incident on the photoelectric conversion layer through the gate electrode.
