Abstract:
A light detection device 1 comprises an APD 11, a plurality of temperature compensation diodes 26, 27, 28, and a circuit unit 3. The plurality of temperature compensation diodes 26, 27, 28 have different breakdown voltages lower than that of the APD 11. The circuit unit 3 sets any one of the plurality of temperature compensation diodes 26, 27, 28 to an electrical breakdown state. The circuit unit 3 includes a plurality of terminals 25 and a terminal 22. Each of the plurality of terminals 25 is connected to an electrode 29b in a different temperature compensation diode 26, 27, 28. Terminal 22 is electrically connected to the APD 11 and to an electrode 29a in each temperature compensation diode 26, 27, 28.
