Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to stably obtain the beam diameter and the optical axis, even for a light beam having a non-uniform intensity distribution. A contour of a cross section of a light beam is obtained in a light intensity range in which a specific ratio with respect to the total light intensity is achieved. An approximate circle is obtained from the contour. The approximate circle is calculated using the method of least squares or the like. The optical axis and/or the beam diameter of the light beam is obtained on the basis of the approximate circle.
