Each of the openings 530, 540, 550, 560 is arranged at an interface 570 between the first part 510 and the second part 520 and has a shape configured for mounting the cover 500 onto the electrical cable 120. The interface 570 is arranged in a direction parallel to the fitting direction F. The other elements and features shown in FIG. 4A- 4C are similar to the elements shown in FIG. 1A - 1E.

FIG. 5A - 5C illustrate schematically an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 5A - 5C a cover for a light device for light decoration is shown, wherein the light device comprises an electrical cable 120 and at least one lamp socket 140 mounted onto the electrical cable 120 as shown in Fig. 1A. Each lamp socket 140 optionally holds an electrical lamp 150. The electrical cable 120 extends from two sides of each lamp socket as shown in FIG. 1C. The cover 600 shown in FIG. 5A - 5C is arranged for accommodating the mounted lamp socket 140. Said cover 600 may have a shape of a cylinder, a bottle, or any other suitable shape. Said cover 600 comprises a first part 610 and a second part 620. Said cover 600 is mounted onto the electrical cable 120 at both sides of the lamp socket 140 in an assembled state of the cover 600, wherein the first part 610 is fastened to the second part 620.

The first part 610 and the second part 620 cooperatively define a first opening 630A and a second opening (not shown). Each of the first opening 630A and the second opening is arranged at an interface 650 between the first part 610 and the second part 620 and have a shape configured for mounting the cover 600 onto the electrical cable 120. The first opening 630A is defined by a first lip element 660A and a second lip element 660B. The first lip element 660A is connected to the first part 610 and shaped to define a part of the first opening 630A and the second lip element 660A is connected to the second part 620 and shaped to define another part of the first opening 630A, as can be seen from FIG. 5B.

Each of the first lip element 660A and the second lip element 660B is connected to the first part 610 and second part 620, respectively, via a suitable connecting line and is bendable along said connecting line to remove the respective lip element 660A, 660B away from the interface 650. At the connecting line, each lip element 660A, 660B may have a thinned cross-section to support bending. After bending each of the first lip element 660A and the second lip element 660B away from the interface 650 a modified, larger, first opening 630B is formed, as is shown in FIG. 5C. The modified first opening 630B is shaped to mount the cover 600 by direct contact onto an electrical cable, e.g. having a larger cross-section, or is shaped to mount the cover 600 by direct contact onto a connecting part of the lamp socket, which is fastened onto the electrical cable, wherein the connecting part of the lamp socket encloses the electrical cable.

The embodiment has particular advantages in case the cover at the first opening and the second opening is positioned close to the lamp socket. Typically, in case a distance between the first opening and the second opening is substantially equal to a width of the lamp socket along the electrical cable (i.e. along a longitudinal axis) between the first opening and the second opening.

An example is a lamp socket which is fastened to an electrical puncture cable and which has a connecting part enclosing the electrical cable. The connecting part typically extends from a main body along the electrical cable. The electrical puncture cable may have a rectangular shape and the connecting part may have a circumference having a substantially rectangular shape with a slightly larger cross section. In that case, the shape of each of the first opening and the second opening is preferably at least partly rectangular and is adapted for clamping the electrical cable and/or the connecting part of the lamp socket.

In all of the embodiments shown in FIGS. 1A - 5C, each of the first opening and the second opening are provided partially by the first part and partially by the second part. In this way, the respective opening is divided over the first part and the second part.

In all of the embodiments shown in FIGS. 1A - 5C, the cover may directly contact the electrical cable at each of the first opening and the second opening to mount the cover to the electrical cable.
