Abstract:
Provided is a light diffusion film wherein the opening angle of diffused light is effectively enlarged by forming prescribed columnar structures comprising columnar objects with a curved portion and regions with a relatively low refractive index within a film. Also provided is a manufacturing method for said light diffusion film. This light diffusion film has a columnar structure formed by arranging columnar objects having a relatively high refractive index upright in close proximity in a region having a relatively low refractive index, wherein the multiple columnar objects having a relatively high refractive index have a curved portion therein.
