Abstract:
Provided are: a light diffusion plate which is capable of suppressing illumination unevenness regardless of the viewing angle, while maintaining good light transmitting properties; a surface light source which is provided with the light diffusion plate; and a liquid crystal display device.
A light diffusion plate (9) is formed of a light-transmitting resin which has a back surface (18) that is provided with a fine recessed and projected pattern (19) and a front surface (15) that is provided with a plurality of linear half-round ridges (16) that are parallel to each other. The light diffusion plate (9) has an internal haze of 0-60% and an outer haze due to the fine recessed and projected pattern (19) of 71-99%.
