Abstract:
A light diffusion sheet 43 has, on at least a first surface 43a, a plurality of recesses 22 formed as approximate inverted polygonal pyramids. Ridge lines 23 that demarcate the plurality of recesses 22 each have a form that, with respect to a straight line joining intersection points 23a of the ridge lines 23, is recessed in the interval between the intersection points 23a. Letting an array pitch of the plurality of recesses 22 be P, and, in the array directions of the plurality of recesses 22, the dimensions that the curvilinear sections of the ridge line 23 cusps occupy be Wr, then the ratio Wr/P is 0.3 or less. A maximum peak-to-valley difference d between the ridge line 23 and the straight line joining the intersection points 23a of the ridge lines 23 is 1 to 10 μm. The plurality of recesses 22 include a recess 22 in which the cusp of the approximate inverted polygonal pyramid is formed linearly.
