Abstract:
Provided is a light emission device having higher-quality light emission performance while accommodating a reduction in thickness and an increase in the light emission area. The light emission device has: a base provided with one or more light sources, the base including an obverse surface and a reverse surface; an optical sheet including an inner surface facing the obverse surface of the base and an outer surface on the opposite side from the base; one or more columnar members provided upright to the base towards the optical sheet, the columnar members including a head part provided so as to be in contact with, or capable of coming into contact with, the inner surface of the optical sheet; and one or more anchoring members linking the base and the optical sheet, at least a part of the anchoring members being elastic.
