Abstract:
A light emission device (2) comprises: a laser light source (11); a power storage element (33) for supplying drive-current to the laser light source (11); a switch element (34) that is connected in series to the laser light source (11); and a monitoring circuit (40) that monitors temporal changes in the voltage of the power storage element (33). A distance measurement device comprises: the light emission device (2); a projection optical system that projects pulsed light, which is emitted from the light emission device (2), to a target region; and a light reception unit that receives the pulsed light which was reflected from an object.
