Description:
Description LIGHT EMISSIVE EAR WAX REMOVER

Technical Field

[1] The present invention relates to a light emissive ear wax remover.

Background Art

[2] As disclosed in Korean Utility Model Laid-open Publication No. 97-16166, a con¬ ventional ear wax remover includes a light irradiating body having a shape of a scoop and formed at its end portion. The light irradiating body, a body only for irradiating light, is configured to irradiate light when it is connected to a power source installed inside a handle via a switch. To irradiate light, the sizes of the LED (light emitting diode) become greater, and it is difficult to form a scoop-shaped LED using a light transmissive plastic material, which in turn leads to problems that the brightness of the light is not sufficient to observe inside of the ear clearly; that it tends to hurt the ear due to the increased frequency of contacts with the ear canal while clearing out ear wax; and that it is difficult to correctly draw out ear wax.

[3] Further, in another conventional ear wax remover as disclosed in Korean Utility

Model Registration No. 20-0357566, an ear wax removing part having a shape of a coil spring is used. In such a case, there are several drawbacks. When removing ear wax, it is necessary to continuously rotate the ear wax removing part by fingers. And since it is difficult to remove the ear wax stuck between the coil spring, another equipment is undesirably required to remove it. Further, if the LED is installed inside the ear wax removing part, the ear wax removing part becomes bulky, and since a portion of the ear wax removing part surrounding the LED is exposed, light loss occurs, so that it is difficult for the light to be focused on one point. Furthermore, since a battery, which is not readily available in the market in terms of its shape, is used, the battery re¬ placement becomes a difficult job. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem

[4] It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to provide an ear wax remover, which is capable of allowing a user to see inside the ear clearly by using a high brightness LED (light emitting diode), removing ear wax more correctly and safely by disposing an ear wax removing part in a central portion of light irradiated from the high brightness LED, preventing the ear wax removing part from being contaminated by using a cover, making it easier to replace a battery by using one which is readily available in the market, and very effectively and easily removing ear wax by shaping a body held by the user's hand into a cylinder, thus making it easy to hold it and change

its direction. Technical Solution

[5] In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a light emissive ear wax remover, including: a body having a hollow inner portion; a power supply inserted into the hollow inner portion of the body; an ear wax scooping part formed in an end portion of a supporting rod installed adjacent to the light emitting diode; a cover which is inserted onto the one end portion of the body in such a manner that the light emitting diode, the supporting rod and the ear wax scooping part are not exposed; and a switch which is inserted onto the other end portion of the body so as to turn on or off the light emitting diode by switching on/off an electric current of the power supply. Advantageous Effects

[6] As described in detail above, in accordance with a light emissive ear wax remover of the present invention, it is possible to allow a user to see inside the ear clearly by using a high brightness LED (light emitting diode), it is possible to remove ear wax more correctly and safely by disposing an ear wax scooping part in a central portion of light irradiated from the high brightness LED, it is possible to prevent the ear wax removing part from being contaminated by using a cover, it is possible to make it easier to replace a battery by using one which is readily available in the market, and it is possible to very effectively and easily remove ear wax by shaping a body held by the user's hand into a cylinder, thus making it easy to hold it and change its direction. Brief Description of the Drawings

[7] The above and other objects and features of the present invention will become apparatent from the following description of preferred embodiment given in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:

[8] Fig. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a light emissive ear wax remover in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention;

[9] Fig. 2 provides a state view of the light emissive ear wax remover shown in Fig. 1 with a cover installed to cover;

[10] Fig. 3 presents a state view of the light emissive ear wax remover shown in Fig. 1 with the cover inserted thereonto, wherein its switch is on;

[11] Fig. 4 illustrates a partial cross-sectional view taken along line I-I in Fig. 3;

[12] Fig. 5 offers a partial cross-sectional view taken along line II-II in Fig. 2, wherein the switch is off; and

[13] Fig. 6 shows a light emissive ear war remover in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention with a cover inserted thereonto, wherein its switch is on.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention

[14] Fig. 1 is a perspective view for explaining a structure of a light emissive ear wax remover in accordance with the present invention, which includes a body 1, a switch 2 and a cover 3. In an inside of one end portion of the body 1, both a high brightness LED (light-emitting diode) 6 and a supporting rod 4 with an ear wax scooping part 5 at its free end are provided. In the other end portion of the body 1, a screw thread pattern 7a is formed on an outer surface of the body 1. On an inner surface of the body 1, an electric wire 8a connected to the switch 2 to allow electricity to flow is formed. In an inner surface of the switch 2, a screw thread pattern 7b is formed and an electric wire 8b formed into a shape capable of producing a resilient force, such as a coil, to contact a battery certainly is provided. Fig. 2 is a drawing illustrating a case in which the cover 3 is inserted onto the body 1, so that the ear wax scooping part 5 is housed in the cover 3. Therefore, it is kept sanitary, and a keeping and carrying of the light emissive ear wax remover can be done readily. Fig. 3 is a drawing illustrating a case in which the high brightness LED 6 irradiates light with the cover 3 inserted onto the rear end portion of the switch 2 after being separated from the body 1. So it is unnecessary to keep the cover 3 separately while removing foreign matters inside the ear. Fig. 4 il¬ lustrates a cross-sectional view of the light emissive ear wax remover in accordance with the present invention, when it is operating. In this case, two batteries 20 are used. The cover 3 is inserted onto the rear end portion of the switch 2. The electric wire 8b inside the switch 2 and the electric wire 8a inside the body 1 are connected to each other by the operation of the switch 2, so that the electricity flows from the batteries 20, turning on the high brightness LED 6. The high brightness LED 6 is connected to the a metal body 11 located in a central portion of a upper plate 9 formed on the one end portion of the body 1. And on an upper portion of the upper plate 9, an insulating material 10 is provided to prevent two wires of the high brightness LED 6 with opposite polarity from contacting each other, and to prevent the supporting rod 4 from directly contacting the two wires. Fig. 5 illustrates a cross-sectional view of the light emissive ear wax remover in accordance with the present invention, when it is not operating. In this case, the two batteries are used. The cover 3 is inserted onto the one end portion of the body 1, so that the ear wax scooping part 5 is prevented from being exposed to the atmosphere. The electric wire 8b inside the switch 2 and the electric wire 8a inside the body 1 are separated from each other, so that the electricity does not flow from the batteries 20, thus turning off the high brightness LED 6. Fig. 6 is another embodiment of the present invention illustrating a state in which the high brightness LED 6 irradiates light and the supporting body 4 is bent toward an inner direction of the body 1 in such a manner that a central portion of the light is focused on the rear wax scooping part 5. Therefore, the rear wax scooping part 5 and its neighboring area become a brightest portion.

[15] While the invention has been shown and described with respect to the preferred em¬ bodiments, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes and modifications may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined in the following claims.
