Abstract:
Provided is a light-emitting ceramic capable of manifesting various light emission peak wavelengths. The light-emitting ceramic is made of a pyrochlore compound and contains at least 0.01 mol% Bi per 100 mol% ABOW (wherein A includes at least one selected from the group consisting of La, Y, and Gd, and includes a total of at least 80 mol% of the at least one selected from the group consisting of La, Y, and Gd; B includes at least one selected from the group consisting of Zr, Sn, and Hf; and W is a positive number in order to maintain electrical neutrality); wherein B at least includes Sn, and the ceramic further contains at least one selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Zn, Sr, Ba, Sc, Ga, In, Yb, and Lu.
