Title:
LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/123805
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] The present invention addresses the problem of providing an image display device with which it is possible to suppress or prevent deterioration of a photoconversion layer, while achieving a high light emission efficiency as well as high color reproducibility. [Solution] The present invention is a light emitting device characterized by being provided with: a pair of electrodes; an electroluminescent layer provided between the first electrode and the second electrode; and a photoconversion layer that is formed of a plurality of pixels and that converts light, which is emitted by the electroluminescent layer and has a blue light emission spectrum, to light having a different wavelength, wherein the photoconversion layer is provided with pixels of the three primary colors, namely, red (R), green (G), and blue (B), and contains light emitting nanocrystals that have a light emission spectrum in one of red (R), green (G), and blue (B) colors, due to the light coming from the electroluminescent layer that has been made incident on the pixels of at least one of the three primary colors.
