Abstract:
The present invention provides: a light emitting device which is capable of achieving excellent color rendering properties and high emission efficiency; and a lighting fixture which is provided with this light emitting device. A light emitting device which comprises: a light emitting element that has a light emission peak wavelength within the range of from 430 nm to 470 nm; and a fluorescent member which contains two or more rare earth aluminate phosphors that include at least one phosphor selected from the group consisting of a first phosphor having a composition represented by formula (I) (Y3(Al, Ga)5O12:Ce), a second phosphor having a composition represented by formula (II) (Lu3Al5O12:Ce) and a third phosphor having a composition represented by formula (III) Y3Al5O12:Ce), a fourth phosphor having a composition represented by formula (IV) (A2(M11-pMn4+
pF6)) and a fifth phosphor having a composition represented by formula (V) ((Sr, Ca)AlSiN3:Eu).
