Abstract:
Provided are a light emitting device and the like that can provide a projected light pattern having a clear cut-off line without loss of intensity from a light emitting unit by shielding with a shade or the like. Excitation light (L1) is irradiated at an inclination to a surface of a light emitting unit (101), and a light guide member (104) is provided with a light guide unit having an output end surface (Rx1) that includes a side (a). An image forming lens (105) forms, on the surface of the light emitting unit (101), a linear edge part image corresponding to the side (a) in an image of the excitation light (L1) on the output end surface (Rx1).
