Abstract:
A light-emitting device in which a UV LED is sealed inside a package, wherein output is maintained at a high level. An LED that emits UV light is joined to a substrate with an alloy bonding material, the LED is covered with a sealing gas that includes oxygen gas and further covered with an airtight lid member, the substrate and the lid member being joined in an airtight manner. The lid member demarcates a space filled with the sealing gas, and constitutes the package. The lid member transmits UV light emitted by the LED.
