Abstract:
A light-emitting device according to the present disclosure comprises: a first substrate that has a first surface; a second substrate that is located on the first surface, that has a second surface facing the first surface and a third surface situated on the side opposite to the second surface, and that has formed therein one or more through-holes which penetrate from the second surface to the third surface; and a light-emitting element that is located in at least one of the through-holes. The first substrate and the second substrate are joined together via a joint material including a plurality of distance-retaining members. The number density of the distance-retaining members in at least one of the through-holes is lower than that of the distance-retaining retaining members in a gap between the first surface and the second surface.
