Title:
LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICE AND OPTICAL FIBER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/014853
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention increases the intensity of light having a wavelength different from that of excitation light. A light-emitting device (1) is provided with an optical fiber (2), a first light source part (11), and a second light source part (12). The optical fiber (2) has a light entry part (21), a light outgoing part (22), and a wavelength conversion part (23). The wavelength conversion part (23) is disposed between the light entry part (21) and the light outgoing part (22). The wavelength conversion part (23) includes a wavelength conversion material. The wavelength conversion material generates spontaneous emission light excited by excitation light and having a wavelength longer than that of the excitation light, and generates amplified spontaneous emission by amplifying the spontaneous emission light. The first light source part (11) causes excitation light (P1) to be entry on the light entry part (21). The second light source part (12) causes seed light (P2) for generating stimulated emission light from the wavelength conversion material excited by the excitation light (P1) or amplified spontaneous emission, to enter the light entry part (21).
