Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/114860
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a light emitting device that suppresses the generation of cracks and has enclosed therein an OLED element with excellent fluid sealing properties. The light emitting device is provided with a sealing structure in which the organic electroluminescent element, which has at least a transparent anode layer, an organic layer comprising a light emitting layer, and a cathode layer layered in that order upon a transparent substrate, has been sealed by a first sealing film on the side of the aforementioned transparent anode layer and a second sealing film on the side of the aforementioned cathode layer, wherein the light emitting device is characterized in that the flexural modulus of the aforementioned second sealing film is lower than the flexural modulus of the aforementioned first sealing film.
