Abstract:
In this light emitting device, a first lead out section (12b) and a second lead out section (14b) of respective first electrode (12) and second electrode (14) of an organic electroluminescence element (10) respectively overlap a first conductor pattern (22) and a second conductor pattern (24) of a wiring substrate (20) in the thickness direction, said first lead out section and second lead out section extending to the side of a light emitting section where the first electrode (12), a functional layer (13) and the second electrode (14) overlap each other. A first connecting section (32) is configured of cylindrical first through hole wiring (32a), and a first protruding electrode (32b), which protrudes in the thickness direction from the first conductor pattern (22), is inserted into the first through hole wiring (32a), and is electrically connected. A second connecting section (34) is configured of a cylindrical second through hole wiring (34a), and a second protruding electrode (34b), which protrudes in the thickness direction from the second conductor pattern (24), is inserted into the second through hole wiring (34a), and is electrically connected.
