Abstract:
A light emitting device (10) is provided with: an LED (12); a reflecting mirror (16) having a reflecting surface in the shape of a paraboloid of revolution, said reflecting surface reflecting light emitted from the LED (12), and outputting the light to the outside; and a light absorbing material that blocks light having a beam angle higher than a 1/4 beam angle θ from entering the reflecting mirror (16), said light being among the light emitted from the LED (12). The LED (12) is disposed at a position shifted from a focal point of the paraboloid of revolution.
