Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a light-emitting element with excellent lifespan. The light-emitting element comprises a first electrode , a second electrode , and an EL layer, and the light-emitting element has a configuration in which: the EL layer has a hole injection layer, and first to fourth layers; the hole injection layer has an organic acceptor and is positioned between the first electrode and the first layer; the first layer has a first hole transport material; the second layer has a second hole transport material and is positioned between the first layer and the third layer; the third layer has a third hole transport material; the fourth layer has a host material and a light-emitting material, and is positioned between the third layer and the second electrode; the HOMO level of the second hole transport material is lower than the HOMO level of the first hole transport material; the HOMO level of the host material is lower than the HOMO level of the second hole transport material; the HOMO level of the third hole transport material is the same as or lower than the HOMO level of the host material; the difference between the HOMO level of the second hole transport material and the HOMO level of the third hole transport material is 0.3 eV or less; and the second hole transport material is a triarylamine compound with a structure in which a dibenzofuran skeleton or a dibenzothiophene skeleton is bound directly or via a bivalent aromatic hydrocarbon group to a nitrogen of the amine.
