Abstract:
This light-emitting element comprises: a light emitting part (30); an intermediate layer (40) that covers the light-emitting part (30); an optical path control means (70) that is provided on a part of the intermediate layer (40) and that has positive optical power; and a covering layer (71) that covers the optical path control means (70) as well as outer regions (70A) of the intermediate layer (70) enclosing portions (70B) of the intermediate layer (70) on which the optical path control means (70) is formed. When a refractive index of a material constituting a portion (41) of the intermediate layer (40) in contact with the optical path control means (70) is n0, a refractive index of a material constituting the optical path control means (70) is n1, and a refractive index of a material constituting the covering layer (71) is n2, then n0 ≥ n1 > n2 is satisfied.
