Abstract:
This light-emitting element drive device is provided with: a reception unit for receiving a predetermined communication signal transmitted through a communication line; a generation unit for generating reference signals on the basis of start timings for start bits in the predetermined communication signal; and a determination unit for determining, on the basis of the reference signals, timings for switching light-emitting elements from an off-state to an on-state. The predetermined communication signal is configured such that the start bits, which have a first logical level, are transmitted in a fixed period from a transmitter and data bits following each start bit do not have a second logical level in succession for a predetermined number of times or more.
