Abstract:
A light emitting element which is provided with a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a light emitting layer that is arranged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and an electron transport layer that is arranged between the negative electrode and the light emitting layer. The light emitting layer is obtained using a phosphorescent compound having a group represented by formula (2). The electron transport layer is obtained using a polymer compound that contains at least one constituent unit selected from the group consisting of constituent units represented by formula (3) and constituent units represented by formula (5). -R1 (2) (In formula (2), R1 represents an aryl group, a monovalent heterocyclic group or a substituted amino group.) (In formula (3), n3 represents an integer of 1 or more; Ar1 presents an aromatic hydrocarbon group or a heterocyclic group; and R2 represents an ionic group.) (In formula (5), n5 represents an integer of 1 or more; Ar2 presents an aromatic hydrocarbon group or a heterocyclic group; and R5 represents an ionic group.)
