Abstract:
A light-emitting element (1) comprises a laminate (2) and a first insulating film (3). The laminate (2) has a plurality of semiconductor layers, and comprises: a first end surface (2a); a second end surface (2b) which is on the opposite side from the first end surface (2a); and a pair of side surfaces (2c) which connect the first end surface (2a) and the second end surface (2b). The first insulating film (3) is positioned so as to extend from the first end surface (2a) and along at least one of the pair of side surfaces (2c).
