Abstract:
A light emitting element (100) is configured in such a manner that a first electrode (50) and a second electrode (70) are provided on a semiconductor layer (30), the first electrode (50) having a first outside connection section (52) and also having a first extension section (54) and a second extension section (56) which extend from the first outside connection section (52), the second electrode (70) having a second outside connection section (72) and also having a third extension section (74), a fourth extension section (76), and a fifth extension section (78) which extend from the second outside connection section (72), the third extension section (74) extending outside the first extension section (54) along the first extension section (54), the fourth extension section (76) extending outside the second extension section (56) along the second extension section (56), the fifth extension section (78) extending between the third extension section (74) and the fourth extension section (76) toward the first outside connection section (52), the fifth extension section (78) being either located on a straight line L1 connecting a point on the first extension section (54), the point being located closest to the second outside connection section (72), and a point on the second extension section (56), the point being located closest to the second outside connection section (72) or located further toward the second outside connection section (72) side than the straight line L1.
