Abstract:
A light emitting device (10) is provided with a light source (5) that releases primary light (6), a first phosphor (2) that absorbs the primary light (6) and converts the primary light (6) to first wavelength-converted light (7) with a wavelength greater than that of the primary light (6), and a second phosphor (3) that absorbs the primary light (6) and converts the primary light (6) to second wavelength-converted light (8) with a wavelength greater than that of the primary light (6). The first wavelength-converted light (7) is fluorescent light having light components across the entire wavelength range from 700 nm to 800 nm. The second wavelength-converted light (8) is fluorescent light with a peak where fluorescence intensity shows a maximum value within the wavelength range from 380 nm and above to below 700 nm. The first wavelength-converted light (7) has persistence time one-tenth longer than that of the second wavelength-converted light.
