Abstract:
A light guide (1) and a nuclear detector. The light guide (1) comprises several light guide strips that are sequentially arranged, each of the light guide strips having a large surface of the optical guide strip and a small surface of the optical guide strip which are opposite, the edge lengths of the large surfaces (A1-A4) of the light guide strip and the small surfaces (B1-B6) of the light guide strip being divided into several different levels, the large surfaces of the light guide strips (A1-A4) constituting an upper surface (11), a lower surface (12) being parallel to the upper surface (11), all the small surfaces (B1-B6) of the light guide strip constituting the lower surface (12), the number of large surfaces (A1-A4) of the light guide strip being the same as the number of small surfaces (B1-B6) of the light guide strip, the area of the lower surface (12) being less than the area of the upper surface (11), and a side surface being connected to the upper surface (11) and the lower surface (12). The nuclear detector further comprises a scintillation crystal array (2), an upper surface (11) of the light guide (1) being coupled to a lower surface (22) of the scintillation crystal array (2), a lower surface (12) of the light guide (1) being coupled to a photoelectric conversion device, the number of large surfaces (A1-A4) of a light guide strip being the same as the number of small surfaces (B1-B6) of the light guide strip, the area of the lower surface (12) being less than the area of the upper surface (11), and the edge length of the large surfaces (A1-A4) of the light guide strip being not less than the edge length of a scintillation crystal strip. The light guide and the nuclear detector have a low cost and a low photon loss rate, and a marginal crystal strip can also realize clear resolution.
