Abstract:
The present invention relates to a light guide plate for a direct type backlight unit which is made of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) or poly carbonate (PC), on which a first concave portion for forming an air gap having a predetermined distance from a light source is formed in a portion between the first concave portion and the light source positioned directly below a light irradiation region on a bottom surface, and in which at least one or more second concave portion of a proportionally increasing height is formed as the distance from the first concave portion increases in both the left and right directions.
