Abstract:
A light guide plate and manufacturing method thereof, the light guide plate comprising a transparent substrate and diffusion grid points disposed on the transparent substrate; the diffusion grid points are obtained by a UV ink jet printing apparatus jetting UV ink drops on the transparent substrate and curing the UV ink drops via a UV lamp. The light guide plate manufacturing method comprises: providing a transparent substrate; generating a monochrome gradient image by means of a gradient tool; printing the monochrome gradient image onto the transparent substrate; and curing the printed image on the transparent substrate via a UV lamp. The light guide plate manufacturing method does not require designing corresponding printed images according to the diffusion grid points on the light guide plate, thus reducing printing data volume, and significantly improving printing speed; and setting multiple gradient values will ensure the consistence between the distribution of the diffusion grid points and the light distribution in the backlight module, thus homogenizing the emitted light.
