Abstract:
Provided is a technique for achieving the thickness reduction, higher-intensity illumination, and uniform high brightness of a key module of a portable device at low cost.
A key module of a portable device is provided with a key top (6) which is pressed by an operator, a substrate (2) on which an electric contact (7) is disposed, a dome (4) which comes into contact with the electric contact (7) and generates a signal when the key top (6) is pressed, a dome sheet (5) which covers the dome (4), and a light guide plate (1) which is disposed on the key top (6) side of the dome sheet (5), propagates light from an LED module (3) therethrough, and emits the light from an emission surface on the key top (6) side. The light guide plate (1) is formed by printing a white-ink dot pattern on the surface on the substrate (2) side of a base material produced from a thermosetting urethane resin by ink jetting, and a projecting portion (1a) produced from resin or rubber is formed in a portion facing the electric contact (7) and the dome (4) of the base material by coating.
