Abstract:
Provided is a light guide plate which can sufficiently maintain the intensity of light in the front face direction without using a member for correcting the direction of the light. Also provided is a pointer instrument provided with the light guide plate.
A light guide plate (9) is provided with a light emitting section (91) having a circular arc shape in a plan view and disposed so as to be superimposed on a dial. The rear surface (91b) of the light emitting section (91) is provided with a reflective section (93) for reflecting, toward the front surface (91a) of the light emitting section (91), light which advances in the light emitting section (91). The reflective section (93) is provided with reflective bodies (95) spaced at intervals and each composed of ridges (94) protruding from the rear surface (91b), the ridges (94) being arranged so as to intersect the direction of advance of the light which advances in the light emitting section (91) and to be in contact with each other in the widthwise direction. The ridges (94) are formed so that the ridges (94) allow light inputted thereto to pass therethrough while refracting the light toward the front surface (91a) and then the ridges (94) reflect the light in the direction perpendicular to the dial.
