Abstract:
A light guide plate which is light in weight, high in luminance, small in luminance unevenness and excellent in uniformity ratio of luminance is characterized in that it is composed of a plate-like transparent resin molded body having a front surface, a back surface, and four lateral surfaces, in that the front surface serves as a light emitting surface, in that at least two opposite surfaces among the four lateral surfaces serve as light incident surfaces, and in that the back surface is so formed as to have the plate thickness decrease from the light incident surfaces to the center of the back surface and serves as a light reflecting surface.
