Description:
DESCRIPTION

LIGHT HONEYCOMB GRATE PRODUCTION METHOD

TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention is related to a production method of light honeycomb grates, wherein geometrical cavities are formed on the support plate in order to decrease the weight of the honeycomb grate.

CURRENT TECNIQUES Honeycomb grates are used with the aims to prevent the accumulation of substances such as dirt or dust, or in order to achieve a decorative appearance by using such grates as suspended ceilings etc. The honeycomb grat'es that have been mentioned, are produced by means of fixing together the inter connection elements which have different shapes (ribs, square drill..) with the support plates. In the known state of the art, the inter connection elements, placed parallel on top of the support plates are fixed by using a welding machine. When the time consumed, production and workmanship costs, are taken into consideration, in order to eliminate the welding process, a few alternatives have been developed. In the Turkish patent application numbered "TR2012/02509" honeycomb grate production system has been mentioned wherein the fixing is done by press compression force rather than using a welding machine which provides the production of a higher number of products with lesser energy.

In order to produce honeycomb grates which are low cost without affecting quality, cavities are formed on the main body and the interconnecting parts are placed into these cavities and mounting is achieved. However the cavities created in order to carry out production do not ensure that the weight of the honeycomb grate is decreased sufficiently. In the Canadian Patent application numbered CA2489170A 1 a honeycomb grate used as a construction material and which is produced without using welding has been mentioned. In said application the base irons are mounted by going through the holes inside the main support plate and said honeycomb grate is used as a construction material.

In the Japanese patent application numbered JP2003268867A, a honeycomb grate with cavities has been mentioned which has been produced in order to decrease the production cost and to simplify the production method. The supporting rods of said grate are fixed to the main body by means of passing through the insertion holes located on the main body.

AIM OF THE INVENTION

The light honeycomb grate production method subject to the invention, aims to produce a honeycomb grate which is decreased in weight by forming geometrical cavities by means of a drilling machine, on the support plate section of the honeycomb grate produced by using a press which consumes an energy rate of 1 /8,0- 1/250 instead of using private and manual welding machines.

Another aim of the invention is to ensure new raw material formations by recycling the remaining scrap metals that have been created when the geometrical cavities are formed on the support plate.

DETAILED EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

5. Inter connection element

6. Slot channel

7. Geometric cavity

8. Metal sheet roll 9. Roller

10. Servo driver

1 1. Drilling machine

12. Press 13. Press mould

14. Bottom mould

15. Product conveyor belt

The light honeycomb grate production method ( 1 ) subject to the invention comprises a roller (9) on which a metal sheet roll (8) obtained as a ready built roll is placed, a servo driver ( 1 0), support plate (4), a slot channel (6) at the desired size and shape, a drilling machine (1 1 ) used to open a geometric cavity (7) a press (12) having a bottom mould ( 14) and a press mould ( 13) which enables the production of a light honeycomb grate (3) by fixing the interconnection element (5) to the support plate (4) and a product conveyor belt ( 15).

The honeycomb grates (3) are produced by fixing the interconnection elements (5) to the support plate (4). In the light honeycomb grate production method ( 1 ) wherein the press ( 12) is used instead of a welding procedure, the slot channel (6) section where the inter connection elements (5) are placed into the support plates (4) and the geometrical cavity (7) opened in order to decrease the weight of the honeycomb grate (3) need to be opened beforehand. In the case that the support plates (4) are not received as ready built ones to the production centre, the support plates (4) need to be prepared in the support plate preparation unit (2) beforehand.

The metal sheet roll (8) in the support plate preparation unit (2) shall be placed onto the roller (9) (101 ). In order for the metal sheet roll (8) placed into the roll (9) to be treated in the drilling machine (1 1 ) as a support plate (4) a servo driver ( 10) shall be used. (102). Following this, a slot channel (6) and geometric cavity (7) shall be opened in the desired size and shape on the support plate (4) and shall be placed into a suitable mould drilling machine (1 1 ) ( 103). Said slot channel (6) must be sized such that it can fit into the support plates (4) of the inter connection elements (5).

Said interconnection element (5) is a rod and/or profile used in any desired shape such as a rib or a drill, or straight rod etc that shall be half and/or fully fitted into the support plates (4). A geometric cavity (7) that decreases the weight of the honeycomb grate (3) and a slot channel (6) on the support plate (4) shall be opened in a drilling machine ( 1 1 ). ( 104). the geometrical cavity (7) mentioned, can be at any desired shape such as a circle, square, triangle, quadrangle, pentagon etc. The support plates (4) whose weights are decreased without negatively affecting their qualities, shall be placed on the product conveying belt (15) ( 105). In order for the interconnection elements (5) to be fixed onto the support plate (4) by means of a press (12), the interconnection element (5) shall be fitted into the slot channel (6) of the support plate, manually or with the usage of a mechanism ( 106).

The support plate (4) shall be placed into the bottom mould ( 14) of the press ( 12) so that the interconnection element (5) is fixed to the support plate (4) ( 107). The dimensions of the bottom mould ( 14) are changed so that the l ight honeycomb grate (3) is produced at the desired size. By inserting the support plates (4) into the related cavities of the bottom mould (14) of the press ( 12), the treating of the slot channel (6) of the press mould ( 13) shall be carried out.

Following this the slot channel (6) of the support plate (4) into which the interconnection element (5) is fitted shall be constricted and compressed ( 108). There are two protruding triangles at the bottom of the press mould ( 13). When the press mould ( 13) is pushed downwards, these protruding triangles, apply a force on both sides of the slot channel (6) of the support plate (4) and ensure that the interconnection element (5) is constricted between the slot channels (6) of the interconnection element (5). Thus the l ight honeycomb grate (3) shall be produced without using a welding procedure. By the usage of a light honeycomb grate production method ( 1 ), it is possible to fix more than one interconnection elements (5) onto the support plate (4) in one go by consuming 1 5-20 kW energy. The sizes and the production capacities of the moulds (13 and 14) can be increased in relation to the size of the honeycomb grate (3) that is desired to be produced. The protection scope of this present invention has been determined in the claims section and the invention cannot be limited with the descriptions above which have been given as illustration. It is clear to the skilled in the art that the novelty put forward in this invention can be produced by using similar embodiments and/or it is clear that this embodiment can be applied to the other state of the art fields that have similar aims. Thus it should also be clear that such embodiments especially in the presence of our application, shall be devoid of novelty and surpassing the known state of the art criteria.
