Abstract:
This light-irradiating device is provided with: a light-irradiating unit inside of which is placed a light-emitting element, the light-irradiating unit being provided with a casing having a light irradiation surface through which light of the light-irradiating unit can pass; and a gas supply unit provided with a flow channel connected to part of the light irradiation surface of the casing. The flow channel preferably has a plurality of walls connected to each other. The light irradiation surface has a light-passing section through which light of the light-emitting element can pass, and a non-light-passing section capable of blocking light. The plurality of walls preferably has a first wall positioned closest to the light-passing section and placed along an edge of the light-passing section. This printing device is provided with the light-irradiating device, a conveying unit that conveys a medium to be printed while causing the medium to face the light irradiation surface of the light-irradiating device, and a printing unit placed adjacent to the light-irradiating device on a side upstream along the conveyed direction of the medium to be printed. The light-irradiating device is preferably placed so that the first wall is positioned between the light irradiation surface and the printing unit.
