Abstract:
Provided is a light irradiation device equipped with a heat-dissipating device which is highly reliable against water leakage, has excellent corrosion resistance, and offers high cooling capability. The light irradiation device comprises: an LED unit including a substrate and an LED element disposed on the substrate; and a heat-dissipating device disposed in close contact with the LED unit to dissipate heat of the LED unit, the light irradiation device characterized in that: the heat-dissipating device includes a stainless-steel pipe through which cooling water flows, and a metal support member having a first main surface in close contact with the LED unit and supporting the pipe in a longitudinal direction so as to expose a part of an outer peripheral surface of the pipe from the first main surface, the part of the outer peripheral surface of the pipe having a planar portion positioned coplanar with the first main surface, the planar portion being thermally connected to the LED unit.
