Abstract:
A medical light-irradiation system provided with: a long tube-shaped catheter; and a long light-irradiation device which is inserted into the catheter and used. The catheter comprises: a light-transmitting part which is provided in at least one portion of the side surface at the side of the tip of the catheter and transmits light inside the tube to the outside; and a first engagement part which is provided on the inner surface of the catheter. The light-irradiation device comprises: a light-irradiation part which is provided in at least one portion of the side surface at the side of the tip and irradiates light to the outside; and a second engagement part which is provided on the outer surface of the light-irradiation device, and which, by engaging with the first engagement part, in a state in which the positions of the light-transmitting part and the light-irradiation part are aligned in the circumferential direction, restricts the movement of the light-irradiation device relative to the catheter, in the circumferential direction.
