Title:
LIGHT PARTS FOR IN-LINE FOUR-STROKE ENGINES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2003029702
Kind Code:
A8
Abstract:
The invention relates to light parts for in-line four-stroke engines comprising pistons, bolts, connecting rods and a crankshaft. Said parts can be used to enhance the performance of any in-line four-stroke Diesel or Otto engine used in the automotive and maritime industries owing to the light weight thereof on said pistons, bolts and, primarily, the crankshaft counter weights. The most significant feature of the aforementioned parts lies in the fact that (i) there is a direct contact between the pistons and the connecting rods and (ii) the counter weights used in the crankshaft are long and very thin. The purpose of the invention is the production of enhanced-performance engines which better conserve important natural resources and, as a result, better respect the environment.
