Abstract:
This light-receiving device comprises a light acquisition sheet and a photoelectric conversion unit optically connected to same. The light acquisition sheet comprises: a light-transmitting sheet having a first main surface and a second main surface; and a plurality of optical coupling structures arranged inside the light-transmitting sheet, and separated by at least a first and second distance, respectively, from the first and second main surfaces. The optical coupling structures include a first light-transmitting layer, a second light-transmitting layer, and a third light-transmitting layer sandwiched therebetween. The refractive index for the first and second light-transmitting layers is smaller than the refractive index for the light-transmitting sheet, and the refractive index for the third light-transmitting layer is greater than the refractive index for the first and second light-transmitting layers. The third light-transmitting layer has a diffraction grating parallel to the first and second main surfaces of the light-transmitting sheet. At least one section of the photoelectric conversion unit is positioned on the outside edge of at least one of either the first or second main surface of the light-transmitting sheet.
