Title:
LIGHT-RECEIVING ELEMENT AND RANGEFINDER MODULE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/017342
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a light-reciving element and rangefinder module, with which it is possible to improve properties. This light-receiving element comprises an on-chip lens; a wiring layer; and a semiconductor layer positioned between the on-chip lens and the wiring layer. The semiconductor layer comprises: a first voltage application portion to which a first voltage is applied; a second voltage application portion to which a second voltage different from the first voltage is applied; a first charge detection portion which is positioned around the periphery of the first voltage application portion; and a second charge detection portion which is positioned around the periphery of the second voltage application portion. The first voltage application portion and the second voltage application portion are each covered by an insulating film within the semiconductor layer. The present invention can be applied to a light-receiving element that generates distance information using the ToF system, for example.
