Abstract:
This technology pertains to an electronic device, a ranging module, and a light-receiving element configured so as to be capable of reducing signal degradation when transferring a charge. The light-receiving element comprises a pixel that at least has: first and second charge retaining units that retain a charge generated by a photodiode; a first transfer transistor that transfers the charge to the first charge retaining unit; and a second transfer transistor that transfers the charge to the second charge retaining unit. The first and second transfer transistors are configured using vertical transistors that have vertical gate electrodes. This technology can be applied to a light-receiving element or the like that performs ranging via indirect ToF.
