Abstract:
A light reception circuit having a function to convert differential light signals to differential current signals comprises: a light reception element pair including first and second light reception elements each for converting a light signal to a current signal; and a pair of signal lines. The anode of the first light reception element and the cathode of the second light reception element are connected to a first signal line of the pair of signal lines via first and second AC coupling capacitors, respectively, while the cathode of the first light reception element and the anode of the second light reception element are connected to a second signal line of the pair of signal lines via third and fourth AC coupling capacitors, respectively. In response to the receptions of differential light signals inputted to the first and second light reception elements, differential signal currents are generated in the first and second signal lines.
